Are K-beauty brands' own stores cheaper than K-beauty shops?
COSRX, Anua, SKIN1004, Torriden and other brands run their own online stores. We compared their prices with every specialist shop selling the same barcode.
Most of the big Korean skincare brands now sell from their own online stores: COSRX, Beauty of Joseon, Anua, SKIN1004, Torriden, TIRTIR, Klairs and more. It is natural to assume the brand's own store is the safe, fair-price choice. We checked that against every specialist K-beauty shop that sells the same product, matched by the barcode on the box, so the size and version are identical.
What the prices say
Of the 696 products both a brand store and a K-beauty shop have in stock, a shop is cheaper for 528, the price is the same for 44 and the brand's own store is cheaper for 124. When a shop is cheaper, the typical saving is 26% off the brand's own price. Brand stores often run their own sales and bundles, so check both before you buy; and remember shipping, which brand stores sometimes make free above a lower threshold.
